Swami Vivekananda Institute of Power Training and Applied Science Research
This new Power Training Institute will have active involvement of some senior Engineers / Managers with long years of valuable experience in Premier Power Plants / utilities of our state and country. This Institute will provide modern class room training, practical in-plant training and power plant simulator training to trainees as per the course guide line of Central Electricity Authority (CEA).The Training Institute is having a tie-up with operating Power Stations like OPGC(IB Thermal, Jharsuguda) & JSPL,Tamnar, so as to facilitate familiarization and to provide in plant training as per article No. 3.3 of institutional facilities of CEA guideline for reorganization of the Training Institute for Power Sector.
Simulator Training Facility
Available for Combined Cycle(730 MW) Gas Based Plant(9FA), Sub-critical(370 MW)- drum mill, both bfp & turbine driven pumps,
Forced Circulation, Bag Filter , Steam Bypass System, Supercritical(700MW)- Bowl Mill, ESP, Electrical Protections etc
All generic features of power plant are incorporated in a state of the art, PC based and Hi-fidelity system based on real plant operation.
Course Duration: 2 weeks, Batch Strength: 22, Structure: Plant Graphics Studies, Start-up, Shut-down, Emergencies & Malfunctions like tube failure, vacuume falling, grid frequency disturbance, run-back & run-down actions etc.
In addition the simulator can be used as a powerful tool for engineers and plant management to verify process design and control strategies prior to start-up of a plant as well as investigation and testing of operational problems that are normally not allowable under real plant normal operating Simulator is highly flexible and can be used in a number of different ways to suit the changing needs of the thermal power plant.
Swami Vivekananda Institute of Power Training and Applied Science Research provides state of the art training facility to the trainees.
