This new Power Training Institute will have active involvement of some senior Engineers / Managers with long years of valuable experience in Premier Power Plants / utilities of our state and country.This Institute will provide modern class room training, practical in-plant training and power plant simulator training to trainees as per the course guide line of Central Electricity Authority (CEA).The Training Institute is having a tie-up with operating Power Stations like OPGC(IB Thermal, Jharsuguda) & JSPL,Tamnar, so as to facilitate familiarization and to provide in plant training as per article No. 3.3 of institutional facilities of CEA guideline for reorganization of the Training Institute for Power Sector.
Swami Vivekananda Institute of Power Training and Applied Science Research with its state of the art facilities including elegant class rooms, latest advance PC based simulators provided by Western Services Corporation Pvt. Ltd. from USA, Wi-Fi environment, E-library, a well stacked library, Model room and up to date Web based training, has been recognized by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, (http://www.cea.nic.in/) for imparting advanced power plant training in line with the provisions of Indian Electricity Rule 1956 and Amended Rules 2005 to meet the power sector requirements.
The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) is a statutory body initially constituted under Section 3 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948 and now functions under the provisions of Section 70, 71, 72, 74 and 75 of Electricity Act 2008.
